Thankfully, Coronavirus has been steadily declining over the last few months, but children from 5-11 were yet to be boosted. This resulted in less protection for the children of the world. Although Coronavirus is less common in kids, omicron seemed to affect more children than adults. This is believed to have happened because of the high infection rate. On May 17 the Federal Department of Agriculture (FDA) finally passed the Pfizer 5-11 booster shot. This booster shot 10 micrograms, the same as the rest of the past doses for this age group. The FDA’s decision is now to go to the Centers for Diseases Control Prevention (CDC) to decide how the booster will be used for the age group. This will help reduce the cases and hopefully send us further into the endemic stage. Hopefully, with these wins continuously coming, Coronavirus will soon become a thing of the past.
