Your Editor-in-Chief

Luke Fann is a junior at City who began writing for the City Voice in 7th grade and became an editor the following year. By his sophomore year, he was Managing Editor and then Editor-in-Chief.

He focuses on business and technology news, taking a deeper dive into topics rather than focusing solely on breaking news. He also covers personal interests and his weekly editorials offer unique takes on timely issues.

Your Editorial Staff

Managing Editor: Ayan Shukla

Ayan is the managing editor of the City Voice, and a current freshman at City High Middle. He primarily writes articles about the economy, politics, and global current events and won first place in his category in the 2025 MIPA awards. He is part of Speech and Debate, the NHS Executive Board, President of the Class of 2029, MYIG, MUN, Student Ambassadors, and started the Michigan branch of a nonprofit organization.

In his free time, Ayan enjoys playing the piano and the violin, reading, and excessively drinking coffee. You can contact him at shukla-a@students.grps.org for any questions about his articles.

Social Media Manager: Sam Corrado

Hello, my name is Sam Corrado. I am a science and opinion writer for the City Voice. I run our social media and contribute ideas for others. Some of my interests include electronics and science. I am planning to go to college for chemistry and enjoy baking in my spare time.

Editor: Nava Tabata

Nava is currently a senior at City. She has been writing for The City Voice since her sophomore year and now serves as an editor. Although she enjoys covering a wide range of subjects, her favorite topics to write about are history and ecology. Outside of the newspaper, you can usually find her playing violin in City’s pit orchestra, volunteering at her local library, or going on walks to observe the antics of her neighborhood squirrels.

KenZie Low is a student at City High Middle School with a love for art, writing, and storytelling. She writes a range of works from articles to fictional stories, comics, reviews, essays, and analyses. Besides the City Voice, KenZie participates in cross country and track for Ottawa Hills, Model UN, and Science Olympiad.
