Volume 1: The Recruits

Chapter 2: The Greenhouse Encounter

As they walked towards the central elevator, Jonathan, his eyes sparkling with excitement, couldn’t contain his enthusiasm. “Man, that English class was lit today! Who knew Shakespeare could be so hype?”

“Yeah, Mr. Piersma really brought it,” Benjamin agreed, a grin spreading across his face. “I never thought I’d be into Hamlet, but I’m low-key hooked.”

Victoria nodded in agreement, her expression thoughtful. “It’s amazing how he makes the classics feel so relevant. I feel like we’re really getting into the minds of the characters.”

Calvin chimed in, his voice filled with anticipation. “I can’t wait to see what Mr. Watson has planned for Biology. I heard he’s got some pretty cool experiments lined up.”

With a shared sense of excitement, they entered the elevator and selected the button for the eastern wing, where the greenhouse and biology lab were located. The doors slid shut, and the elevator began its ascent, carrying them to their next destination.

As they rode the elevator, Benjamin couldn’t contain his curiosity. “Hey Victoria, what do you think Rachel will say about going to The GameMaster? Do you think she’ll be down?”

Victoria smiled, her eyes lighting up at the mention of her twin sister. “Are you kidding? Rachel loves arcades! She’ll be totally stoked to join us.”

Jonathan grinned. “Awesome! The more, the merrier, right?”

When the elevator reached the third floor, they stepped out into the hallway, the scent of fresh flowers wafting through the air from the nearby greenhouse. They made their way towards the biology lab, passing rows of lockers adorned with colorful posters and student artwork.

Entering the lab, they were greeted by Mr. Watson, who was setting up for the day’s lesson. “Good morning, everyone!” he greeted them with a cheerful smile. “Today, we’re going to be diving into the world of genetics. Get ready for some hands-on experiments!”

Throughout the class, the students engaged in lively discussions and conducted experiments, their enthusiasm for the subject evident in their animated interactions.

As the bell rang, signaling the end of class, they gathered their belongings and prepared to head to the cafeteria/library for lunch. “That was awesome!” Jonathan exclaimed, excitement bubbling in his voice. “I never knew genetics could be so fascinating!”

“Yeah, Mr. Watson really knows how to make science fun,” Victoria added, her eyes shining with enthusiasm.

With their stomachs growling, they made their way to the cafeteria/library, eager to refuel before embarking on their next adventure.
