Elle’s Review:
This book was really good! I can’t say that this one is my favorite in the series, the folk of the air, as I had really enjoyed In the darkest part of the forest, but the storyline and the execution of the plot was well thought out. This book was similar to These Hollow Vows. If you liked that series, you would definitely enjoy the Folk of the Air series! Overall I would give this book a 3.5/5, as while I enjoyed the book it wasn’t as good as it is hyped up to be. The beginning was quite slow, and took a bit to get to the interesting parts. The biggest problem was that the main character, Jude was so annoying! She just keeps lamenting how much she wants to be fae. But, one thing that I really enjoyed was how Jude was such an interesting character. Anyways, if you like this book I would definitely recommend reading A Court Of Thorns and Roses, Throne of Glass, These Hollow Vows, Caraval, and Red Queen.
Coco’s Review:
Overall, I liked The Cruel Prince. Although the beginning was a bit slow and hard to follow, the ending was truly delightful, and I really liked all the plot twists. Some characters were annoying, but I did like how they all had super different personalities and traits. I loved the enemies-to-lovers trope, but only at the end of the book. I wasn’t really shipping Jude with the love interest she ends up with, but they definitely worked out in the end. The world-building made everything so much better! I loved learning more about the Fae and the different courts. This was my first time reading it, and although I wouldn’t reread it, I would recommend it to you! I also would give it 3.5/5 stars! It was good but not the best.
