Business is traditionally a male dominated field that women have been left out of.  40% of US businesses are women-owned. (WBENC) Women who own businesses are reportedly 43% more likely than men to be worried about limited access to money affecting their companies. (PlanBeyond). Only 2% of women-owned businesses ever reach a revenue of 1 million dollars. (Forbes) This means that corporations are mostly owned by men. This is why we feel it is important to highlight some local businesses in Grand Rapids that are all women-owned.
