Notable Women Throughout History

This list was collected at the last meeting of the Girl Up Club.

Katherine Johnson who did all of the calculations for the first space flights. Without her contributions they wouldn’t have been possible
Malala Yousafzai, she is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel prize laureate
Ada Lovelace, pioneer in mathematics, created the concept of an operating system or software
Greta Thunberg- she’s around our age and she’s a pretty cool activist. She also faced a ton of criticism from adults, even the president in the US at the time.
Marie Curie, the woman who helped discover radiation and cancer treatments that can still be used today.
