Earlier this week, a rather exciting story came out about a legal case against Disney. On Wednesday, a family filed their lawsuit against Disney. Back in 2019, Emma McGuinness and her family visited Disney World for her 30th birthday. During this trip, she was injured from one of Disney’s many attractions. The culprit of the damage was the Humunga Kowabunga, a water slide in one of Disney’s parks. When she went on the ride she experienced an extreme ‘wedgie’ and claimed it caused her numerous hospital bills.
McGuinness and her family are now seeking a $50,000 compensation for the ‘wedgie’. When she went down the slide, she explained in an interview following the lawsuit, her clothing pulled up her legs and injured them as water was forced inside of her. The suit claims that Disney was negligent and should have given her protective clothing and gear. McGuinness is officially suing for the physical and mental damage caused by the injury from the slide.
In summary, this is one interesting lawsuit. Currently this is all of the information provided, but as new information comes out, make sure to look for it. I, like many others, am excited to see how the entire situation plays out.
