Heard of Wordle?
Maybe you have and maybe you haven’t, but the popular new word game was released in October of 2021. Wordle was created by Josh Wardle, a software engineer who developed the prototype in 2013 and tested it out during the pandemic on his partner, Palak Shah, who likes word games.
The New York Times announced on January 31, 2022 that the hit game had been purchased for “low seven figures.”
For those of you who don’t know, Wordle is a popular word game that gives players a new word to guess every day. Players have six tries to guess the word of the day, with no hints and no help. The tricky part is going out on a whim and trying to guess the first word using as many different letters as possible in one word. The word always consists of 5 letters, and the word resets at midnight every night.
Wordle can be accessed here: https://www.powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/, and a Wordle archive can now be found here: https://www.devangthakkar.com/wordle_archive/, and every past Wordle can be completed.
