As the countdown to Disney+’s The Book of Boba Fett grows ever smaller, we have been given another look at what we can expect in a new 30 second trailer.
While most of this trailer is reruns of old content – Boba working on retaking Jabba the Hutt’s criminal empire, epic shots of desert wandering, and the promise of some epic fight scenes and espionage – we also get a look at a question that has been bugging fans since Fett’s reentry into the Star Wars universe: How did he survive the Sarlacc Pit?
You might remember that in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Boba Fett fell into a Sarlacc Pit (a toothed animal found burrowed in the Tatooine Desert) while working as a mercenary for his gangster boss, Jabba the Hutt. This was supposed to be an end all be all, death for the character, but yet he manages to live on. This has left fans wondering how Boba escaped his fate. In this new trailer we get a glimpse of something that appears to be him in a medbay, hooked up to an oxygen machine. I think this is likely right after his escape from the Sarlacc, hopefully shedding some light on how he survived.
With this revelation, we can hope that this show will shed more light onto the Star Wars universe, hopefully filling in details that we so desperately want.
