First Obi-Wan Kenobi Trailer Revealed

The long awaited Obi-Wan Kenobi show has finally dropped a trailer, and there is a lot to unpack. Obi-Wan Kenobi is a fan favorite character in Star Wars, making appearances wherever the wisdom of the space wizards needs to be bequeathed to the universe, but now it is finally his turn to shine in his own solo show! Obi-Wan Kenobi is a show that fans have pushed for for a long time, and almost received as a movie once a few years back, but had to be postponed. Now we are finally seeing the return of Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan Kenobi in a show that the trailer promises to be bigger than previously expected.

Obi Wan Kenobi takes place on Tatooine and follows Kenobi in the aftermath of Order 66 and the rise of the Galactic Empire. While the overall plot of the show is still very under wraps, we do know it will tie into the original trilogy and is going to take a deeper look at how the Galactic Empire first built out its power. It can be expected that this show is going to delve into not only the history of Kenobi but explore a changing galaxy as a whole. For fans of the Star Wars franchise, the trailer contained a couple of surprises, first off being the return of the Inquisitors. The Inquisitors were a group of force wielders on the dark side working for the Empire. While the Inquisitors are not quite Sith, they are still seeking to hunt down all remaining Jedi. Both the head Inquisitor and his two lackeys made their debut in Star Wars Rebels. While it is a very typical move for Star Wars to pull in old favorites, I cannot deny that I am excited to see them in live action.

I think Obi-Wan Kenobi is going to be a make or break moment for the Star Wars Franchise, either it is going to go over really well or absolutely flop. Though personally I have hope that Kenobi can save the day again, bringing a touch of something old and a lot of something new.
