WandaVision (show) is rated PG by the Motion Picture Association of America
Two weeks ago, the last episode of WandaVision was released. While I am sad to see the series end, the finale was amazing! The entire show was a fascinating story to watch unfold. The first three episodes were done in classic sitcom style, with our main characters living a typical suburban life, but at the end of the second episode the deeper story started to shine through. It started slowly at first, a hint here and there that something’s off. As the show continues you start getting answers and more questions.
The last episode had a lot of ground to cover and did so well! Some finales feel very rushed, like there’s not enough time to get everything in, but WandaVision had good pacing. I feel like the plot left off in a nice place. It wrapped up most things from the show but left some things open, so there is room for them to continue on if they chose too. There were some fun ways that they played with typical superhero tropes too. I also liked how this show fully characterized Wanda and Vision. Both characters have been a part of the MCU for a long time now but yet they both felt underdeveloped, like there were pieces missing to their characters. WandaVision gave them more depth and character development. I think this is partially due to how the show deals with grief and acceptance. The entire plot is based on Wanda’s grief from the events of Avengers Endgame. In that regard, this show is very powerful. I really liked how the ending showed how far she had come as a character.
Overall WandaVision was a very fun show to watch, and while the plot can get complicated it is very fun to try and guess what is going on and each new discovery made and will suck you right in. You will not want to stop until you get the answers you seek! It might be a little confusing for people who have not watched the rest of the MCU but I have heard it is still good without that background information. Now is the perfect time to catch up on Wandavision before the new Marvel show, Falcon and the Winter Soldier is released today!
