At the beginning of every year we all have to find time to go down to media center and get our textbooks, but at least we only have to carry two or three. Unfortunately, when it comes to english class that number is often more like nine or ten over the course of a year.
Luckily, many organizations exist to make older texts more easily available. Most texts are only copyrighted for seventy years after the author’s death, so most of the books used in City classes can be found online with Project Gutenberg.
Project Gutenberg is a volunteer run organization that provides access to an online library of almost 59,000 free books, including most of the books needed for classes at city. Project Gutenberg books can are available on almost any device, desktop computers, chromebooks, or any kind of phone with no apps needed. So this year you can leave the heavy books in your locker and access them online whenever you want.
